I’m Shana Marie Kubilius Wanco. I wear a lot of hats — stationer, new mom, wife, swan-obsessed, university instructor, paint-by-numbers collector, entrepreneur — but the biggest one will always be artist. Paper just happens to be my medium.

I think of each stationery project as a commissioned piece of artwork, and I dive deep into my clients’ stories before ever picking up a paintbrush. Of course, my art definitely has a style: colorful, whimsical, intentional, and always with a hand-drawn or -painted element. In short, magical.

My work might be different from anything you’ve seen before, which has led to some incredible collaborations with companies like Paperless Post, Morgan Julia Designs, The Campbell Collective, and New York City’s The Corner Store. I’m so grateful for how far Iris + Marie has come since I started this business in 2017.
