Lens and Compass is a small-scale, American filmmaking studio offering Super 8, 16mm film and video portraits. We exist to make the language of film more accessible - especially for those who may think it's out of their reach. Although we work in rich creative regions, we’re still surprised by the number of people we meet with amazing ideas and beautiful ceremonies planned who’ve never considered a film or video. Our namesake, “map and compass,” inspires us to find a different way. Navigating by map and compass, anyone can explore. With the same spirit, we believe any film can be made.
